Oh and what has Jameson been up to these last couple of days? Has he been fighting off hippies and reggae kids? Starving to death in the woods cause he knows nothing of the plant world? What about Nora Dogg? Maybe shes grown skinny and tired and has died. Or maybe James has eaten her.
Well none of that has obviously happened to either one of us. What has happened though is Friday night, I went Contra dancing. And it sounds hippie, I think, but it is not. It's sorta like traditional folk dancing. I think. I did this for about three hours the other night and had a blast. I almost chickened out but decided to do it any how. It was fucking amazing though. I got to dance with a whole spectrum of ladies. This really old lady asked me to dance and also this really young girl, like around 8 or 9 asked me. And of coarse I asked girls too. Actually you pretty much got to dance with all the women. If you'd like to or not. It was just how it was done.
Well then Saturday night Tony Kate and I all went to this potluck thing up on these hills where these kinda rich enviromentalist lived. There was a farm, goats, a windmill and a solar panel that followed the sun. Well a couple of comunities were there including ours, though it was just three of us and we all ate and got to know one another and to learn about each others communes. It was very hippie like really. So then Kate and I hola hoped and I turned out to be a real pro. Just like with the Contra dancing. And I'm not even kidding. I'm going every Friday. Anyways.
So here is a cool part about Saturday night and then I'll tell you about meeting Frank Cook for a Plant Walk. So on the way home from the pot luck we noticed some bright lights on top of a hill and thought it was a baseball game. we decided to pull up and enjoy the rest of the shabang. When we got to the top of the hill it turned out that there were no little kids playing baseball but that there was a tractor pull going on. We got soooo excited and went and spectated and drank soda, you don't even know, and pretended to be oh so normal. In that sense.
Ok. On to Frank Cook then I'm done. This man is so great and so inspirational. He is the future of things to come. I believe. He told us all about the plants around us and all the amazing things you can do with them. A lot of them or medicines or teas or food. It's so crazy. The weeds in the yard can be used for so many different things you just don't know. I don't know. This man, when he spoke was so powerful. So meaningful. It changed me. Well kinda. It just opened my eyes really.
Ok. I do believe that is way long enough. I am going to see a play in Chapel Hill. It should be grand! Much love to you all and stop being Jack Asses towards each other. You know who you are. Much loves to you alls. jameson
