Cranks over Blowholes

I am currently working at Ciamillo Components. I have been there since, say, December-ish. The two months I have been there I have learned a great deal. Powder coating. Diving things. Dolphins and penguins. Welding. Composites and soon anodizing. It's really helped to solidify my views on anything is possible. The one thing I haven't learned a lot about is bicycles. See. Ciamillo Components is the home or Zero Gravity. The world strongest lightest bicycle brakes. In the world.
I got this job through Georgia Cycle Sport. A small modest high end bicycle shop in Athens GA. I worked for them as a bike mechanic and builder for 8 months. My plan was, and still is, to spend this year, 2010, studying and learning all I can about bikes and the bike industry. I have a great deal of passion for this.
As usual things happen very fast in my life. At times it's a pace all to hectic and fast paced for me. And as usual, no matter how much I fight it, I've learned to deal. So being I've only been in the company for two months, I've been giving the opportunity to take over the bicycle devision. Ted Ciamillo will do all the aquatic stuff, his passion, and I would take the land things. Bikes. He says this but I think he wants me to run other projects. Like the three wheeled R.O.M project. Building the sub which he will power across the Atlantic. I like getting my hands in all this stuff. It's amazing. But as crazy and random as my life has been, Id much like and enjoy life more if I kinda stuck to what I am more interested in. Bicycles.
Besides this conundrum I have also come across a large sum of money. And I mean large. Now I could either sink this large some of money into Ciamillo Components and help tremendulsy with the projects, or I could take a fifth of that money, send a buddy and I through some bicycle related clinics and start my very own bike show. Which I would have control over everything. Production. Quality. Customer service. And my favorite..... creative input.
One passes the power and control away into some one else's hands. The other puts them into mine. I'm fine with both but I wonder which one will be best for me in the long run. Either way financially I am set. Hmmmmmm?
