My first Swan Year.....
So this will be my first year as a soigneur. One who gives care. Or something in those terms. Oh and I am also Team Locos mechanic. And I design and assemble brakes at Zero G. Aaaaaand... I am helping design and build a human powered sub that National Geographic will film crossing the Atlantic here in November. All that going on with the addition of me pulling 2 extra hours at work, off the clock, to get the Locos race team there Gravitas brakes before their first race, and me trying to get a family going with a very lovely lady that I am very much in love with.
But instead of the usual research and study I do every night, I spent my whole Saturday trying to get these programs onto my computer so I can record some songs. And I failed. Got frustrated and all worked up. Plus earlier in the day I had a weird shaky shaking attack. I think it may be a loratab withdrawal.
Tomorrow though I am back on track. I'm meeting the Team at the shop and following them in the van for a 3 training ride. Also in a few weeks we will start motor pace training. I'm pretty excited to offer the team all these amenities for they have never had them before and also to see how it affects there racing. As soigneur/mechanic I will be driving the team to the races, checking in and out of hotels, getting them to the races (on time), food, maintaining the bikes, massages, and doing pretty much anything else they need. I'm pretty much helping them so all they have to worry about is the race.
I'm a bit nervous but I feel confident with doing all of these functions. It seems like a lot but I've put myself through less, unrewarding things.
